SSI Specialty Course – Science of Diving
If you are already an SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent of any other international diving agency (PADI, ACUC,…) you can enroll in our SSI Science of Diving specialty course. This course consists of individual study of the learning material and a final exam to verify that you have acquired the knowledge required for the certification. Both the study material and the final exam can be done entirely online. Your SSI Instructor will be available to clarify all the questions that may arise during your personal study.
During this course you will have the opportunity to delve into the fundamentals of Diving Physics, the effects on the human body caused by breathing pressurized gases, the Theory of Decompression, the components of diving equipment and their basic operation, as well as to increase your knowledge about the marine environment and its environment.
