Ecology of Mantas and Rays
Rays and their close relatives, sharks, have been around for hundreds of millions of years. Some species arose long before dinosaurs roamed the Earth, yet we know surprisingly little about these majestic creatures, including how old they are, when they mature, and how far they migrate. These wonderful animals live in warm areas of the planet, delighting divers who are lucky enough to find them during a dive. Knowing them is opening a window to the immensity of the ocean.
